This Friday on 6th St. and Mesa in San Pedro, Calif...from 4-9pm..hotdogs, lemonade, art, music, beer ...miniramp ripping , Peter's tattoo give aways at Ship Shape Tattoo...silly music spinning at Sunkin city...oh and some of my art and others to be witnessed and silly pink bunnies... The No. 16

~ Persistence of vision is the phenomenon of the eye by which an afterimage is thought to persist for approximately one twenty-fifth of a second on the retina. Persistence of vision is still the accepted term for this phenomenon in the realm of cinema history and theory. In the early days of film innovation, it was scientifically determined that a frame rate of less than 16 frames per second (frame/s) caused the mind to see flashing images. Audiences still interpret motion at rates as low as ten frames per second or slower (as in a flipbook), but the flicker caused by the shutter of a film projector is distracting below the 16-frame threshold. ~ 16 is the amount of waking hours in a day in an "8 hours of sleep" schedule. ~ 16 mm film was originally an amateur movie format, but is now used by professionals. ~ There are sixteen pawns in a chess set and each player in a chess game starts with sixteen pieces. ~ A sixteen is a slang term for a verse in a song, which are often written in sixteen-bar stanzas. ~ There are sixteen different personality types in the Myers-Briggs classification system.
